MUSIC AND DANCE

Kenyans are extremely gregarious. Rarely will you see a Kenyan person alone. Kenyans like to experience life as it happens and have a casual approach to time. Kenyans enjoy music! It is one of the most loved daytime pleasures. During funerals, weddings, circumcision ceremonies, births, and harvesting there is always a dance. Kenyans are very rhythmical and play traditional instruments as well as instruments from developed countries.

Each of the 42 tribes have traditional music for different occasions. Those who have migrated to Nairobi have found themselves in the mix of either local or international music. Due to the demand to keep our cultural music and food, most of the clubs have had to have theme nights for different tribes. On these nights, local tribal music is played and food and drinks are locally prepared.
